Something is brewing between Lana Del Rey and Azealia Banks. Tuesday night, Lana tweeted to @shopcheapyxo, the new Azealia Banks twitter account after her last one got deleted (again), inviting her to “pull up any time” and that she already “know the addy.” She added however that if she were Banks, she wouldn’t want it.

The ‘In My Feelings’ singer followed up her warning shot with two more tweets, one stating that she would ‘f*ck Banks the f*ck up’ and another antagonizing her writing, “Banks. u coulda been the greatest female rapper alive but u blew it. dont take it out on the only person who had ur back.”

Lana’s tweets come days after Banks went on a Twitter tirade against her for a comment she left on Kanye West’s Instagram. The post in question was Kanye wearing a MAGA hat with the caption, “this represents good and America becoming whole again…”

Del Rey immediately fired back in the comments writing, “Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture. I can only assume you relate to his personality on some level. Delusions of Grandeur, extreme issues with narcissism.” She continued, “If you think it’s alright to support someone who believes it’s OK to grab a woman by the pussy just because he’s famous–then you need an intervention as much as he does…”

Those comments did not sit well with Banks who then went off on Del Rey accusing her of being a “witch” (like a literal witch with a cauldron who casts spells…) and of being an opportunist using Kanye to make herself relevant. Later, Banks later took to her own Instagram story, tagging Lana, writing “you aren’t built for battle…I suggest you apologize to Kanye West immediately.”

After seeing Del Rey’s tweets, Banks continued to fuel the fire by tweeting, “this is an example of an aging white woman who got work done on her face.” She continued by saying “we need her to call the surgeon who did her pointy Michael Jackson nose and ask for some kybella for those chicken patties!!” Lana responded, firing back “I’ll send you my surgeon’s number and a good psychiatrist I know in LA – your psych meds aren’t working #uneedanewcocktail”

Finally, Banks tweeted out “where’s the ‘pull up’ tweet,” claiming that she was talking to her lawyer to which Lana responded by saying, “tell him it’s a promise not a threat.”

The relationship between Banks and Del Rey has taken quite a strange turn from where it was just a few years ago. Back in 2014 during his ShadyXV cipher with Slaughterhouse, Eminem rapped, “Bitch I’ll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice like Ray Rice in broad daylight in plain sight in front of the elevator surveillance till her head is bangin on the railin, then celebrate with the Ravens.” The line was skewered on the internet as being highly misogynistic. The attack led Azealia Banks to stick up for Del Rey tweeting, “@LanaDelRey tell him to go back to his trailer park and eat his microwave hotpocket dinner and suck on his sisters tiddies.” My how things have changed, and it’s all thanks to freaking Kanye.
